Whenever one talks of inclusion and diversity in the Indian Travel & tourism space, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group always comes to one’s mind. Recently, the twelfth edition of Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards conferred the group’s flagship hotel, The Lalit New Delhi as the the favourite LGBTQIA+ Friendly Hotel. It’s a recognition for the work, the hotel has been doing to ensure safe space for the queer community to be themselves. The Lalit Group is known for making significant difference by skilling and hiring queer community to bring them to the mainstream. Be it policies, offering, experiences for the guests or efforts to build more allies for the queer community, The Lalit has established itself as safe haven for the LGBTQIA+ community and is the winner of this award for 3rd consecutive year.

Like every year, the Readers’ Travel Awards are chosen through a readers’ voting process spanning two months and recognises the best in the travel industry across hotels, destinations, airlines, spas, websites, apps and more. This year Conde Nast Traveller received an overwhelming response of 28,000 votes.

“The Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards are known as the Oscars of the travel industry for good reason. Our audiences are the most discerning and influential travellers in India and their choices matter. They inspire others. They trust CNT and are highly engaged with the brand, giving their precious time to voting for their favourites. We are deeply grateful to our audiences for always coming out to vote in such high numbers, making the CNT RTA the only true indicator of the tastes of luxury travellers in India today,” said Divia Thani, Global Editorial Director, Condé Nast Traveller.

“I thank Conde Nast Traveller and all our patrons for choosing us as the most LGBTQIA+ friendly hotel in the country, yet again. This recognition further strengthens our commitment to carry forward our work by offering diverse experiences for our guests through an all-inclusive team” said Keshav Suri, Executive Director, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group.
